With a large retail distribution chain operating hundreds of retail locations, Rogers Communications Inc. chose FileNexus® document management software to completely automate the organization’s A/P process.
Rogers Communications Inc. is a diversified media and broadcasting company whose holdings include wireless communications, cable TV services, radio stations, and publishing. It is one of Canada’s largest companies, with billions of dollars in annual revenue and a workforce close to 40,000.
The FileNexus® Document Management Solution allows organizations the ability to capture virtually any type of document from any source (i.e., paper records, electronic files such as host generated reports, emails and so on), index and compress them for secure archival and future recall – providing a single cohesive repository for all document management, workflow and retention needs.
With a large retail distribution chain operating hundreds of retail locations, the Rogers Accounts Payable Department represented a natural starting point to deploy FileNexus®. With thousands of invoices to approve daily, and many files and documents of varying types, FileNexus® allowed Rogers to securely archive, track and automate the entire A/P process from start to finish.
Continuous Improvement
Rogers Communications Inc.
After the successful deployment and automation of the Accounts Payable department, Rogers moved to implement FileNexus® in a number of other areas within the organization. The most recent FileNexus® implementation has been in Accounts Receivable, where approximately 80,000 customer payment records per day are being streamed directly into FileNexus® from Rogers’ bank payment clearing centre.
Other projects deployed to date include P-Card (procurement card) expense receipt automation, legal, pension, tax and contract departments.
